Editorial Policy

Source priority

Every fact on this site is checked against sources in a fixed order of trust:

1. Official announcements — Remedy Entertainment, the PlayStation Blog, Xbox Wire and official trailers. An official source is the ground truth.
2. Storefront pages — Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store. When older coverage conflicts with what a store page shows today, the live listing decides.
3. Measured reviews and reputable press — technical analysis and reviews from established outlets, used for performance measurements and hands-on detail.
4. Lore wikis — used only for Control 1 canon, and always marked as coming from in-game collectibles and Control canon.

Naming: three states

Names for forms, bosses and areas fall into three labeled states:

• Verified — official wording, or confirmed in our own playthrough.
• Community — a community-coined name, always labeled as such so it is never mistaken for an official term.
• Unconfirmed — rumor or speculation. Unconfirmed names are never presented as fact, and they stay out of headings and tables until a real source exists.

Spoiler policy

Every guide carries a page-level spoiler level: none, light or heavy. Paragraph-level reveals sit inside collapsible spoiler blocks that stay closed until you choose to open them. Titles and descriptions are written spoiler-free, so a search result snippet will never give away an ending.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email help@controlresonantgame.com with the page URL and the correct fact. Corrections are checked against the source hierarchy above, applied, and logged by updating the date at the top of the page. When a correction changes a fact you may have relied on — a date, a price, a specification — we say what changed on the page itself rather than editing silently.

Authorship

Pages on this site are researched and edited by humans, and every fact must trace to a verifiable source before it is published. Tools may help us organize research, but no page ships without human verification against the cited sources. We do not publish invented facts, invented quotes or invented sources — where nothing is confirmed, we say so or leave the field blank rather than fill it with a guess.

Last-updated discipline

The "last updated" date at the top of each page records the last real content edit. It never moves because of a rebuild, a republish or a cosmetic change, so the date always means something when you read it.
